On Saturday, we took the train back into the center of Paris to go sightseeing. Our first stop was the Eiffel Tower. It was much more impressive to see in person than I thought it would be. Unfortunately, the line to buy tickets to go up in Tower was over 3 hours long...so needless to say traveling with a 4-year old made this an impossible thing to do.
After the Eiffel Tower, we decided to find a cafe and grab a bite to eat. Greyson was happy to finally see hot dogs on a menu again! So he had one of the biggest hot dogs I've ever seen. It was hot dog in a french baguette with mozzarella cheese melted on top of it. It was very yummy! He's already asked why he doesn't eat hot dogs like this back in the US.
Next we made a brief stop at Les Invalides, where Napoleon is buried. We didn't actually see his tomb, just stopped long enough to take a few pictures.
Next stop was the Arc de Triumphe. Since we weren't able to go up in the Eiffel Tower, Greyson really wanted to go up to the top. We told him to get to the top he was going to have to walk up a lot of stairs (284 of them) and he was game for it. He walked up all the stairs all by himself. He was passing adults, who had stopped to rest on the way up. It gave us an amazing view of Paris. I can only imagine what it is like on top of the Eiffel Tower.
Then we hopped back on the Metro and went to The Louvre. It was a massive building. But since we were traveling with Greyson we didn't attempt to go inside. We just took a lot of pictures.
Then we took a metro ride to see the Sacre Coeur. Again, we just stayed long enough to take some pictures.
